Since last autumn, cruise ports and destination companies in Møre og Romsdal county have collaborated to contribute to a more sustainable cruise industry.
Last October we invited cruise lines representatives to a digital roundtable meeting to explore new opportunities to help create a cruise tourism with a small footprint. Join us in a follow-up meeting February 16th from 16:30 to 17:30 CET.

A presentation of Norwegian cruise ports and destinations.
Kristiansund is a small and intimate town offering urban facilities and qualities. The colourful town is spread on four islands floating in the ocean with a charming harbour in the middle. The iconic harbour boat has been in operation for almost 150 years.
Cruise ships berth directly in the town centre with attractions, activities and shopping a few steps away. Kristiansund is renowned for clipfish (bacalao) and opera, with the Norwegian Clipfish Museum and an annual opera festival in our own opera house in town.

Smøla island, with its prairie-liked landscape, surrounded by an archipelago of thousands of small islands, islets and skerries and the thundering Atlantic Ocean waves, is home to the mighty sea eagle, hundreds of bird species, wild animals, a spectacular light, and friendly people with unique food traditions. Hitra island is recognized for its first-class local produce, with deer, salmon, crab and cheese among the culinary highlights.
